In a hypothetical world, if the Democrats adopted lowering taxes would they attract the wealthy educated subset of the Republican party leaving the party with only the lower income poorly educated white subset?

Ummm, you missed a few other things. It's not like lower taxes is the only difference between the republican party and democrat party now.

The Democrats will adopt lower taxes the day after Obama shows his birth certificate and pigs fly.

The democrats would need to do what the hard right are doing to attract the republican base by trying to eliminate everything possible to do with environmental and safety standards, eliminate the minimum wage, give huge breaks to the massive corporations,..etc which completely is against what most democratic views are for a clean america where workers can have a safe environment and honest pay. Though that big business demographic is the main reason for the decline in america and should not be sought after in any way. The real backbone of american jobs are small businesses.

No. Why do you assume that the people who continue to identify themselves as Republicans would be lower income poorly educated whites? Do you have some statisitics to back up your racist post?

No. Every time the Democrats move to the right, the Republicans respond by moving further to the right.

Democrats don't "move to the right". At best, they move toward the center but they never cross over so far as to be accused of being a part of the right wing.

Because in that fantasy world where Dems lowered taxes they would still spend 3x as much as comes in. You can't have a world where pigs fly AND hell freezes over.
