1. They send YOUR children to war. Make no mistake, your kids are the ones fighting this war not rich peoples' kids.

Why would you vote for a Republican then? Are two gays being denied marriage rights that much more important than working and not having your children die in battle?
Because they are easily brainwashed. Poverty breeds ignorance. There is a very deep seated militarism that exists in America that can be traced back way before WWII.
The white American middle and working class is akin to a **** bending over and grabbing her ankles about to get it by a clydesdale. That is what America has turned into. We are nothing but serfs and everyone is too braindead and too gutless to realize it let alone do anything about it. Voting has lost any and all power it ever had. The right to vote died almost the minute it came to fruition. Moneyed interests and their corporate keepers are who our government answers too. If you follow the money one would be shocked just how much influence certain families have and have had throughout the history of the United States......eg. the Rockefellers. The American public should round up every blood relative of the original John Rockefeller and string them up in gallows. And that is only one of about 60 families that control and manipulate the American government, economy, and its people.

Democrats send kids to war. See WW1, WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Somalia, Kososvo, Bosnia, Libya and support of Iraq 1 and 2 and Afghanistan.
Democrats outsorce jobs: see NAFTA and other trade agreements, support of unions, MFN status for China etc....
Democrats are opposed to gay marriage. It's only a few judges here and there that have approved of gay marriage. When dems get a chance at the polls they vote no.
Maybe for the same reason that poor blacks vote democratic.
Oh, no wait, that would be because the democrats have promised that they will help them and make a better life for themselves. The big lie.
On the other hand, even the poor who vote republican are all about self sufficiency. Eventhough they may not have a lot they prefer to take care of themselves and their family. They don't want want the democrats are selling, they can't be hood-winked.

I'd wager the very same reason poor blacks vote for Democrats.
I'd also love to know where you get that "rich kids" aren't serving the military. This isn't 1967 and Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Fortunate Son" is not the #1 hit. So, please, enlighten us?
