Wake up... Both liberals and conservatives are pitted against eachother by the Globalist Bilderberg bankers... Both work for the same master... The British controlled "Federal Reserve Bank"...

Yes but the right will blame the poor for all Americans issues, they're literally nothing more than foot soldiers for the rich.

...every company I know is looking for good IT people...
They are looking for individuals and not departments. Many are hired on a contractual basis that has to be renewed every year. Many are paying less than they paid four years ago.

you cant 'offshore' a hands on service
With current technology (within the past three years) whats hands on anymore? In Hardware if a part fails a third party company comes in and replaces it with a few turns of a screw driver and leaves. After that the Software people in India initialize it. This is why companies like StorageTek got swallowed up by software companies so easily.

HP, a computer giant with IT solutions for every type of business, has its own IT outsourced to India.
IBM too.

WCH - Providing your own definition does not suddenly turn Liberal into Fascist. Modern Fascists are not Liberal. They are just trying to recreate a Feudal Oligarchy determined to rid the word of pesky economic competition.

liberals are killing this country
It must me comforting for some people to be so simpleminded that they can lay the blame for all the country's woes at the feet of one boogeyman and not have to apply critical thought or careful analysis to the full complexity of a specific problem. I think you'll find that most of the CEOs that decided to outsource American jobs are not liberals but card-carrying supporters of the Republican party.

But political ideologies are not what matters, this is a matter of economics not politics. In order for the American economy to continue to grow, American companies need to continue to grow, which means they have to have new markets to ply their goods and services to. That means expanding overseas operations. However, once you enter those foreign markets, you are competing with every other company that is also in those markets. Also, entry into these markets is not free, you have to give up something in return, which usually results in giving those countries access to your market. Many of these foreign competitors employee cheap labor and can then sell their products at a lower price point to make a profit. In order for American companies to compete, they too have to reduce their labor cost to be cost competitive, which means hiring workers in foreign countries that will work for smaller salaries.

Propping up the American economy is not the goal nor even the responsibility of business leaders. By law, the executive leadership of any corporation is responsible for solely increasing the value of the corporation and its shareholders. In fact, in the US if a C-level executive makes decisions that the investors do not feel will add value to their investment, say like deciding to employ more expensive American labor out of a sense of patriotism, not only can he be legally sued by the investors, he can actually be criminally prosecuted for wrong doing.

And buddy, those some corporations are buying up both liberal and conservative politicians with equal abandon, especially now that the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Citizens United.

You need to do a better job at targeting your boogeyman...

America I sometimes think needs to go back to the days when items were made by hand,or just plain manual labor . The days of automation have reduced the number of jobs in all sectors of employment and eliminated others entirely.

Don't you understand that this is the whole point of economic progress? As we advance as a society, we do less work and get greater return. Automation is wonderful and makes everyone's life better when you can get greater wealth from less inputs.

Possibly so, but there's also a good chunk of jobs that need to be filled that those 22% should get themselves into rather than sitting at home thinking they'll be able to get back into hard labor.

Possibly so, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Possibly so, but that's a discussion for another thread.

Not true. Weldon said that while he has less need for factory workers, he needs 10x the amount of medical device engineers than he has, but cannot find them. And he needs them in the US. Medical device engineers make 75k+.

Palmisano indicated that he needs 1000s of computer engineers but there aren't enough computer engineer graduates.

There are plenty of jobs out there.

There is so much we could do to improve our education system without spending another dime on it.

Step 1 is being able to fire all the utterly incompetent teachers, but unfortunately the teachers unions won't let that happen and will fight tooth and nail for America's very worst teachers.

I don't disagree with what you are saying but other nations have managed to dig themselves a lot deeper:

Not saying it's a good idea to be in debt. It's a terrible idea. But we only have the biggest debt because our GDP is (for now) massively larger than everyone else's. Fun facts.

I don't buy that chart at all. Krakozhia isn't listed.
