Sure didn’t. I simply commented on the majority of murders coming from that demographics. The fact is they’re choosing not to behave themselves, but it’s another answer you don’t like, so you keep asking the same question until you get an answer you agree with, lol.

Correlation does not equal causation. There are many people, worldwide, living in poverty with very little violent crime.

True poverty is rare in America. The poor here just have "less stuff" than the rest of us leading to jealousy, anger, and resentment. How many literally go without food or clothes because there is none available?

Many of our homeless do not want to live with the restrictions that exist in shelters. Many more are on the street due to substance abuse and mental illness.

Actual poverty exists in place like India and Southeast Asia where much of the population is bone-thin from the lack of food and are unable to become educated for the lack of funds. How often do you see that here?

Chances are good that half of the world's population can only dream of having what that the poor have in America (minus the crime).

true, but for those far from sizeable-enough metro areas, it might be much tougher compared to the economically distressed in Pittsburgh or Philadelphia.

Say, up in the hills of Clearfield, Mifflin, or Juniata Counties, or remote parts of ANY state, they may not be literally starving, but might have limited capabilities only because there is only so much money for human services to go around. A state would spend in Allegheny County, where more can be helped, rather than sparsely populated areas. That is not to say there isnt SOME program that is to reach out and help the poor in Juniata.

I responded to the assertion that violent crime is caused by poverty. It's simply not true and is an effort to "justify" violence.

On an unrelated, but surprising note, here in Hawaii $50-60k is considered low-income. In Honolulu it's $67,500 for one person.

Bingo…violent criminals choose to be violent criminals, and even moreso with consequences being so weak. Put the losers away for life equals less violent criminals…but many love to defend, enable, make them a martyr, victim of society, etc…

Better still, execute thousands of them annually! No repeat offenders, guaranteed!

You ever been to India, or Hong Kong? Extremely concentrated poverty with very little violence.
Parts of Hong Kong are 100,000 people per square mile. 68k per square mile is the average.
Nowhere in the US has those numbers. Chicago is the highest at 12,000 per sq. mile.

In the US? Poverty is not the problem.

That is not true. I work with immigrants and there is high crime especially against woman and girls. There is very little gun violence do to the fact that there are no guns. You’ve been misled.
