Police had the shooter in custody ( who also got shot) within a few minutes. There were police on the scene almost immediately. I hate to see more shooting, but if people know the police are there and going to catch you, it will greatly reduce the issues.

Or we could stop selling guns. Police can`t stop shootings when anyone who wants a gun can get one.

Lol. Criminals will always get their hands on guns. They get smuggled just like drugs. People should really stop blaming police for doing their job versus defending and enabling the poor entitled violent criminals and put them away for life.

We are now at 45 homicides, and it's only mid-August. We are well above-average for this time of year. We would be much higher if we didn't have such highly-skilled trauma centers in this city (despite the hate many on this sub-forum seem to have for UPMC for some strange reason).

We really should be counting how many people get shot, not just how many got killed. The amount of shootings that put the innocent at risk is off the charts for our area. It used to be drug wars stuff, but the South Side shootings in crowded areas is so frequent and those often have nothing to do with drugs. There is no regard to human life at all for the young shooters. They just empty their clips on the street and could care less about anyone but themselves. Narcissism seems very common.

We all knew it was going to be a bad year prior to it happening. Everyone knew because police can't really be engaged anymore. Heck they can't even pull someone over with no inspection, tail lights out and more. What odd times really.

Just saw this. Just another shooting, but no one got hurt. Right next to a little league football game. There is no regard for even little kids.

VIDEO: Bystanders come to trooper's aid after he was shot at Beaver County convenience store

“The suspect was identified as Damian Ray Bradford, 41, of Pittsburgh.

State police said the trooper who was shot was flown to a hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment.

The second trooper was also treated for injuries.

State police said Friday morning that the suspect is "likely" the same Damian Bradford who previously pleaded guilty in a murder-for-hire plot that took the life of a local doctor.”
