LMAO - they didnt want to open it this year due to crime, "community leaders" cried to Big Ed, and less than two weeks after it opened there's a shooting. Can't make this stuff up!

wait until the mayhem comes to a street in Squirrel Hill and a local is dying in a pool of blood at the BP. THEN it will be a 'crisis'. Only until then, unless Pittsburghers wake the F up.
Oh yes, the hypocrisy of our East End Progressive elite.
They live in one of the wealthiest and safest areas of the city, yet have a police precinct in their neighborhood. They then complain about 'overpolicing' in other areas of the city. They also cry and moan about the militarization of police, yet not one of them complained when heavily-militarized police saved many lives at the Tree of Life.

well, you ARE painting with a broad brush. HAVE the Squirrels complained about over-policing? Their location in the east SIDE of Pittsburgh does not equate to the archetypical East End Progressive. There might be a few of those there.

They’re such clowns. They should at least take turns watching the children at the pool so as to help with crime, but I’d wager they’re not brave enough for that…but they are good at talking a big game and getting folks fired up to protest.

The man, identified as 18-year-old Malik Terry, is under 21 and isn’t eligible for a concealed carry permit. The gun was also not registered to him.

why even report his ineligibility and that he possessed a firearm owned by someone else? does it matter, since its just another of the too many guns?

*sarcasm*

or, is it that people just dont give an F? the laws are there. the knowledge of penalty for breaking said laws is known. people just are bold, arrogant savages. probably was the same at the height of the mafia in the 1920s.

Too many guns is certainly one of the main problems.

Nah, too many criminals, especially violent and repeat criminals walking the streets because folks enable and defend them.

Consequences are weak so they continue to be criminals, and the defenders and enablers blame the police instead, lol.

i disagree. it doesnt give a pass to the person who makes the freewill action that he does.

you have made this point before. we'll just have to agree to disagree, but you probably dont even consider my opinions, anyway.

if there were FEWER guns, will this person be a law-abiding citizen because he can't acquire a gun? maybe, but just because he CANT commit the crime with the boldness of having the firearm - it wouldnt mean he wouldnt WANT to. then you have this ass - hole in the high school system, acting out his criminal tendencies THERE.

How so and how many guns are enough? If "too many guns" were a problem, gun stores would be the most dangerous places in the U.S.A. Moreover, you reside in a state that has Constitutional carry. Do you put on your bullet proof vest before you leave your place? Sure must be dangerous in West Virginia. You'd be much safer in a place like the south side of Chicago - where guns are completely banned and don't have nearly the same rights as a woman.
