Still haven’t heard who said such a thing, especially with over 300k+ folks moving there in the past few years, and so many moving there every month, it is hugely desirable

i dont think you EVER suggested that Florida is some paradise that is crime free. but you were (are?) a former pittsburgher, posting links to stories of street crime. and this rankles people why, exactly?

the same people who want to move on, to a kinder, gentler forum (no argument from me) yet criticize you for....??? for POSTING anything at all?

I’m not or were a former Pittsburgher. I’ve always lived in the Pittsburgh area and still do. I simply spend 5-7 months/year in Florida depending on Pittsburgh weather in the winter.

Don’t know, but the truth is often unpopular, but there’s an ignore feature that’s easy to use.

Pittsburgh police and father of Ebony McCary make plea to stop gun violence

Quote:
"We need people to stand up and take their neighborhood back and come to court," Detective Bobby Shaw said. "We know it's a scary thought but we have programs in place to keep you safe."

Pittsburgh police say the city's homicide total stands at 40 for the year, a 37% increase over this time last year.

Good luck getting the oh so brave community leaders to stand up themselves and get folks to help clean up their neighborhoods. They prove to be all talk and then blame the police instead. Still waiting for the social workers to get unleashed to whip the criminals and neighborhoods into shape, along with Big Ed’s “Pittsburgh Plan For Peace”.

We are up to 41 homicides now after last night's shooting in Homewood.

Not a good year for violence nationally in big cities.

not a bad point, but you say it often as if its....well, easy. have you ever lived among people like that, who live in a way that is prone to flare ups of anger/violence/gun useage, he might see things differently.

people have to care for their kids and themselves. there were probably a lot of people that could have incriminated Capone years before they got him for tax evasion - they were just too scared of retaliation.

If they’re going to continually cry about it, then do something about it. They are, however, great at stirring folks up to protest when a poor entitled criminal have justice served against them.
