2+2 doesn’t equal 4. We think and feel it equals 5

If you set guidelines and you meet them, yet you stay closed, might as well go down and protest without a mask on. Seriously, who the heck cares?

This is what socialism feels like. Told what to do, everything shut down, restrictions on everything. Nobody is allowed to work. Everybody gets the same amount of money to sit and home and couch surf. This is what it would be like under Bernie Sanders.

This isn’t about the virus being destructive. The purpose was to scare, control people and push economies down. Make you more dependent on the government.

It doesn’t matter what Allegheny county does. We could have 0 cases and it still would be locked down. Once they decide to let Philly be somewhat free again only ours will be lifted with it.

There is a legitimate reason for holding off of opening up SWPA a little bit yet: We're not really in any worse shape than NW PA or North Central PA, but we have a hell of a lot more people. Basically they can use nearly empty rural parts of PA as a test case to see what happens when social distancing is eased, and then can assess how much risk there would be of lessening distancing in a major metropolitan area like Pittsburgh.

On a cynical note though, I do think it's likely that he had to consider balancing out of regional issues - and that even though we've done much better than Eastern PA, a lot of people in the much more populous side of the state would be pissed if we were allowed out of the penalty box immediately while they're clearly going to be in lockdown for quite some time yet.

Ultimately you are alluding this as being about socialism, not a virus that we were originally told that was going to be bad for nursing homes but morphed into a doomsday pandemic For the general population. Even a self proclaimed liberal is starting to get it. Crongrats......

I bet if it was reversed and Philly was better off than Pittsburgh they would be opening and we would be closed. The state doesn’t care about this part of the state. It’s been that way forever, only this panic demic brings it front and center.

Who cares if they’re “pissed”? Who said life is fair? Were standards met?
