The numbers are updated around noon each day on the PA Dept. of Health website, as well:

https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/dis...ronavirus.aspx

If you scroll down, you can click on any county on the map to view their numbers.

As far as going, going, gone; I can’t imagine it being eradicated when there are several active clusters, like those at nursing homes. The employees go home and infect their household, who all help to fuel community based transmission.

I think many thousands have had this already. Way more than have been tested. We really need the antibody test and soon.

These numbers are clearly consistent with at least a stabilization, and perhaps a decline.

Yeah it would actually create a new dilemma. I've seen reports of using the antibody testing to help get people back to work. So what, if you did have it you already then you can go back to your normal life? So anyone that has been sheltering and not caught it will continue to be required to stay at home? I mean it makes sense but in that case people are going to be thinking they need to just get it already so they can be free.

Eradication is impossible and shouldn't be the goal. We need to prevent he collapse of the medical system, then contain the virus at acceptable levels, while we open up the economy and protect high risk individuals.

It is estimated that between 1% and 5% of the United States population has been infected, including asymptomatic and unconfirmed cases. Unfortunately, with an R0 of 5-point-something, we need 50% to 70% of the population to have immunity, either from naturally produced antibodies or a vaccine, before herd immunity kicks in.

Worst day for PA as a state though to date. Almost 2,000 new cases. It's really blowing up fast in the rural counties in the eastern part of the state now.

Map of cases as of yesterday:

I wonder though is testing just now making its way out to those rural counties? If not then it really makes you questions our Gov decision to slowly roll out closures. It seemed pointless to start and may have push the spread to the rural areas if people in a nearby couldnt do something in their county and just went to another.
