Plus daytime population isn't relevant when commuters and tourists aren't shooting anyone. This just makes your "point" weaker because the daytime population is higher so there's even less of a chance that something happens to you.

No reason to argue semantics but if you have anything constructive to add, I'm interested.

Maybe he should get out of his nice Center City office and go spend some time in the neighborhoods that are being ravaged by gunfire.
Not to jump in between a knife fight but didn't say that he should go from his cushy Center City office into the the neighborhoods that are being ravaged by gun fire?

That, to me, reads that he's a smug, arrogant, white collar, D-bag that runs his office from his crystal tower while his poverty stricken voting base gives him a pass every time. And these constituents are the very demographic that is getting ravaged by the gunfire.

I too, don't understand his appeal. This guy literally gets re-elected on a policy of not prosecuting criminals. It's insane!

I'm voting Peruto simply because he's not Krasner. Won't make a difference. I come from Baltimore where they re-elected their State's Attorney who is just as bad as Krasner, except also pretty transparently corrupt. Crime there is significantly worse than Philly too. I expect the same from voters here.

It's illogical. Post this same question in that FB Group and you will get eaten alive by ignorance.
I don't get it...

Plenty others in the Northeast with less as well. You get the point.
I think it is clear you don't get the point. I didn't say there were no other neighborhoods in the city that don't have a lot of shootings. I said he is sitting in a neighborhood where there are not a lot of shootings and that he should go to some of the neighborhoods where there are a ton of shootings. In case you didn't see the link I posted previously, there are over 1,800 shootings this year.

So you'd rather the mayor live in Kensington than Center City? By your logic we might as well let Biden live in SE DC instead of the $400 M White House since political figures should live in the most economically depressed sections of the city that are being "ravaged" by gun violence.

The current state of politics all across the country is insane. And this particular area, Philadelphia is ahead of the national average.

I hadn't thought of that but it's not a bad idea. Maybe the mayor could focus his efforts there rather than making sure his corrupt friends can channel money into the various organizations that benefit them.

Although I never did say that he should have his office in Kensington. We have politicians who are getting elected into office, only to benefit themselves while letting the areas that are being ravaged by violence and poverty go unaddressed.

That sounds nice but its not the first time pols have done that, and usually to disastrous effect. Ask someone in Chicago how Jane Byrne's time in the PJs went.

Arrow Robber watches man win $10,000 at Parx Casino outside Philly, follows him 50 miles to his NJ home, murders him for cash

Pharma executive is murdered by robber who followed him home after watching him win $10k at casino and then shooting him dead as his wife and kids slept upstairs

Sree Aravapalli, 54, was shot multiple times inside his Plainsboro, New Jersey home in the early hours of Tuesday during an attempted robbery

Police said that Jekai Reid-John, 27, followed him for 50 miles to his home after he spotted him winning $10,000 at Parx Casino just outside of Philadelphia

When Aravapallin arrived home Reid-John broke through a back sliding door and shot and killed him while his daughter and wife were asleep upstairs

Two days later police arrested Reid-John in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania and charged him with first-degree murder
