Pittsburgh is only a Sigma world city, but it's at least Beta in terms of Appalachia!

Anyways, I love reading these stupid Philly vs Pittsburgh threads. They are awesome. So much misinformation on both sides from so many misinformed people. You have douche nozzels calling my fair city $hittsburg, who probably never even been to it. You have people from Pittsburgh bashing Philly on only it's negative terms and not mentioning the good aspects.

I lived in both. Philly for only a short while. They are very different as they are similar. Pittsburgh has just as many vibrant hoods. I loved that whole part of the thread.

People, enjoy what makes things different about other cities, towns, and people. This goes for anything in life. It doesn't always have to be some stupid dick measuring contest.

Dont pay any attention to that alpha/ gamma report(GWAC). It is complete and utter nonsense that emanated from a geography study group from some college in Northern Scotland. They wouldnt know Philadelphia from Pawtucket.
Having Philadelphia below Denver Minneapolis Atlanta and alongside Portland is outlandish.

I've lived in Pittsburgh, Cleveland for 5 years, Cincinnati for 2 years, Philadelphia for just under 2 years.

There's no doubt that Pittsburgh was the best place to live and work and Cleveland was the most vibrant of them all. Cleveland really does ROCK.

Philly was the worst of them all. It wasn't even the city itself that was so bad, but I found the PEOPLE to be obnoxious, rude, loud, boisterous, and too full of themselves. This thread only re-affirms my original beliefs.

Yet you do think the Mayors of Tokyo and Singapore know so much about Philly that you attempted to use a ranking including them as some type of proof!! LOL

you get some flyers and pens fans in the same room and all you get is ****tsburgh and filthadelphia, but hey, they're hockey fans. I've never lived in cleveland but I'd certainly put it at the bottom of that list. Philadelphia is a world city, if a bit player. on the whole, it punches well below it's weight because of the city's anemic job situation. I'd posit that pittsburgh also punches below it's weight at the moment.

anyways, I'd really like to hear about other cities not named Philly to Pitt that are in the state of Pennsylvania. I''ve always been kind of interested in chambersburg. If I were planning a PA roadtrip, what other cities should I hit?
