I'm in the same situation as you, with a 31xx log number as well. When I spoke to Syed last week, he mentioned they've reached the early 2000's on the 1BR wait list but didn't have a timeline on when they might reach my log number. I sent my documents in March.
I know that may not be super helpful, but if anything know you're not alone! This process has been super stressful (especially for those looking for a 1BR). My lease is up in October so hoping something comes through by then.
Stay strong! I have a good feeling we'll hear something soon.
I saw just recently that someone posted that they are in the 1BR lottery and are in the 15xx log number and are at the top of the list and waiting for the next 1br. Is that the highest log number for a 1br that we've seen go here?
If so, it seems like these 1BRs are moving at a glacial pace relative to the 2BRs. People are getting offers (if memory serves) who are over 6xxx.
Honestly, I say just assume you aren't going to get it for now. Move ahead and don't wait for this to happen. If they have only moved 1500 spots since the recent lottery started in earnest, it is probably unlikely it will happen very soon.
That said, it seems like they are doing something weird with this lottery which is just quickly skipping past people who don't have their documents complete rather than working to get them complete. The last lottery we did they worked with us to get it all sorted rather than giving our spot to the next person...it creates a lot of chaos and confusion when the paperwork stream isn't as well-documented as it should be.
But like I said, just based on the cursory scan I've done of this lottery forum, even if you get all of your documents sorted, it is probably going to be a while,
I called and spoke to the office today about the 1 bedroom list, and it was the same "we don't know and aren't able to tell you anything." My specialist, Ms Wentt, is apparently out of office this week, and the person I spoke to said "each specialist has their own list, etc.."
I am so at the end of my rope here. I updated my documents in early July, was told to check back in August, it's now August and I have absolutely no idea if/when they'll reach my 31xx log number for a 1 bedroom. My lease ends this month and I have a sublet for the month of September but after that i don't know what I will do. It's really hard to make an informed decision when you have absolutely no information.
Does anyone have ideas about who else we could contact to get an update on when or if more 1 bedrooms will become available? The specialists clearly aren't able to provide any helpful information, and I just wonder if there is someone out there who can.
I want this apartment so badly, whenever I think too much about the lottery I feel like crying because this process has been so drawn-out and anxiety inducing.
I feel for you. the 1 bedrooms seem to be very difficult.
Ms. Wentt is my specialist as well. I have limited information from her. other representatives might provide more details. I have heard Syed's name mentioned as good source of information.
Does anyone know if Ms Wentt is new and/or have any positive experiences to share?

Mrs Pryce was my specialist. I called many times during the process and I spoke briefly to almost most specialists. They all are very nice. However ms Went is the BEST.
I recently called, she took the time to explain to me that it was hard to get ahold of ms Pryce because she is one of the specialist that started when the lottery was open and that she has an outstanding List of applicants and is very busy.
She spoke on the phone with me for a good 20min. Explained to me how the lottery works and how much each specialist are doing their best to secure units for us.
I complained to her that the lottery has not been fair lately has people with high log are receiving offers while others have waited for months.
15min after the call ended the called me back to inform me that she spoke with Ms Pryce and that she would process my paperwork within the next 3 days…
I was surprise when that very same day, ms Pryce had informed me that she was done processing my paperwork and my offer came quickly.
Ms Wentt is fantastic, they all are, but she is very understanding. She is calm, she jokes a lot and answers any questions you might have.

Hi Yaya, when they gave you the apartment option, was it via phone or email?

Phone 1st followed by email. Basically I called to check the status. The person on the phone could not find my file, when I insisted that Ms Pryce was done with my review, so the person went to Susan’s office. Susan ( the leasing agent) communicated with me my rent- apt number address etc… shortly after I received the offer in writing.

I'm log# 33** and have been on the waitlist for a 2 bedroom for a few months. Even though my documents were complete and approved those with much higher log numbers that first submitted their documents after me already have offers for 2 bedrooms and move in dates. Their system is not set up like it should be. It's very much the luck of the draw on who and when you're assigned to a specialist. I had to resend everything all over again since my 120 days came and went so have to get reviewed and approved all over again. I have cut way back on checking in here because it's really nothing but frustrating at this point.
Can anyone advise where is the lottery office location? My log number for 1 bdroom is 16xx and it has been crickets, I may want to drop in....thanks in advance!

This sounds super frustrating. Who is your specialist?
Do we know which specialists tend to be slower/faster? Or can it vary? (Like... one specialist has a slow 1BR list and a fast 2BR list, while another specialist has a fast 1BR list and a slow 2BR list?)
Trying to get a gauge on how random the whole process really is.

It's on the 1st Avenue loop, resident services office.
