Oh, you were lucky. It was an extraordinary opportunity, one of the best lotteries in modern history.

Since these are random units as they come available with a wide range of rents, I bet placement will remain tricky. It's no use falling into the income range if you earn, e.g., $70K and the $4K apartment is all that's available.

I knew we were lucky when we got a great # 3 years ago. I didn't realize how lucky b/c I wouldn't have bothered if I saw these prices.
Could you share approximately how much your current rent is and how many bedrooms your place has?

Good day,

Thank you for confirming your information and your continued interest in the StuyTown Lottery. We would like to start reprocessing your application for a 2-bedroom unit.

Please send all documentation no later than Wednesday May 8th, 2024, using the Application Checklist (attached).

Please understand that there may be some wait time once your file is processed until you receive an offer. Your patience during this process is greatly appreciated.

Note: All adults 18 and over are required to check off sign & date the student status affidavit form.

531PCV, what is your approximate log number? I know you're waiting for a two-bedroom and was just contacted for documents. Best of luck!

Thanks. I don’t know exactly what this means. What they asked us to fill out is not an update to docs but a brand new set as if from the beginning.

Our log is 55xx but there are people on the 2 bedroom that have gotten apartment at 8000 plus. My guess is that anyone who gets a similar email should consider themselves in uncertain Queue but one worth waiting for.
