No...I think that ship has sailed. Meaning, people are now expecting hybrid work arrangements.

I was going to say the same thing. Employers that can do hybrid (or full WFH) have been doing it for 3 years now. But I think winter 22/23 differed from 20/21 and 21/22 in that the expectation of such arrangements was the driving force behind it rather than COVID concerns which were the primary factor during the previous 2 years. I don't see this having a big impact.

Until they get laid off and can't get another job.

There are tons of remote jobs available online. If you go to any job hunting site 'remote' and 'hybrid' are options.

Someone who gets laid off might also get less money in their next job...or a lower title. It's not all about WFH.

Hopefully they remove mandatory requirements to be vaccinated by US approved vaccines for tourists etc. I think we are the last country to require it.

I am seeing jobs where you still have to be vaccinated to work there...is that here to stay? If yes I'm not sure why they should be removed for people visiting.

I work for a company like that. We still have the vax requirement even though most of our employees are remote. In fact, our HR screens people out at the beginning of the process...if they ain't vaxxed they don't proceed with the interviews.

Still?

My company abandoned that a long time ago. No longer asked. Zero Covid protocols in place now.

What is even considered vaccinated these days with the multiple rounds of boosters?

Good question. I think officially it's just the initial 2 shots. I'm no expert but I have a hard time believing the 2 shots in April & May of 2021 (the time when most people got them) are doing anything now.

Most of the people I know got two shots than after that said no that's enough. The real die hards kept getting their boosters. What round are we on? Four? There were some like me who refused to get any and they are around the same age as me.
