Masks worked so great the first time, and the second time, and now again. It is so easy to control a virus.

I find that hard to believe that any town has 95% of people from 12 to 18 vaccinated. I might be wrong, but I just can't see that. Never heard that anywhere. Most of the country is 50% at best with some areas close to 70%, but 95% is the same crap stats that big pharma used to promote a vaccine that isn't effective at all.

While masking etc. slows the spread, flattens the curve and is worth doing to protect hospitals while we waited for vaccines, the virus eventually spreads anyway.

While I am a pro-vaxer, I look at data wherever it leads. I think masking has some effect. If we were taking about wearing properly fitted N95 masks that were discarded every 8 hours then yes they are very effective. A bit of reused cloth not so much. The half-assed masking which I see a lot, you know the idiots who have it covering the mouth only, not a all.

You are wrong.

The data is in the Weekly Municipality Vaccination Report by age and town.

You are also wrong about the vaccine, it is highly effective. Not the 95% it was against the early strain but still saying many lives.

I just pulled up Thursday's spreadsheet. They have a row for age 12-15 for every town in the state.

Skimming looking for towns with more than 90% vaccinated age 12-15:

Provincetown - 95%+

Stockbridge - 95%+
Tisbury - 95%+
Andover is 95%+ for 16-19 but 77% for 12-15
Manchester is 95%+ for 16-19 but 80% for 12-15
Marblehead is 95%+ for 16-19 but 81% for 12-15
Acton is 95%+ for 16-10 but 79% for 12-15
Concord is 95%+ for 12 thru 19
Groton is 95%+ for 16-19
Holliston is 95%+ for 16-19, 91% for 12-15
Hopkinton is 95%+ for 16-19, 90% for 12-15
Lexington is 95% for 12 thru 19
Sherborn is 95%+ for 12-15, 75% for 16-19

Wayland is 95%+ for 16-19, 88% for 12-15
Winchester is 95%+ for 16-19, 86% for 12-15

Other than a few very small towns and outbreak hotspots in the Cape & Islands, 95% vaccination rates for kids are socioeconomic. The blue chip suburbs filled with white collar professionals have an extremely high vaccination rate.

Speaking of the privileged, I guarantee that anti-vaccine crusader Tucker Carlson is vaccinated, and that he's not gobbling hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. He's not dumb enough to do what he urges his viewers to do.

His daughters attend a hoity toity private school in NYC that requires vaccines. I can guarantee he and his family are fully vaccinated. Heck, Fox News requires their staff to show proof of vaccination or undergo weekly testing with the latter having to wear masks and follow social distancing protocols.

ya, it is. what is stupid about it too is its not widespread all over mass and only 5 towns are requiring masks. you are not going to be able to stop the virus if only 5 towns are doing it and hundreds not. people are stupid.

I got very angry today at my local grocery store because lucky me I live in mask mandated town!!! I drove 15 minutes to another town to buy groceries without a mask. there was a study that even showed you are more likely to get covid if you wore a mask.

he is not anti vax but anti-vaccine passports there is a difference. I think he even admitted to being vaccinated i watch his show. there are lots vaccinated but are against vaccine passports because its authoritarian and puts your personal information at risk .
