I am starting to notice mask-usage getting better here in MA, at least in my travels.

Actually, in general, it does feel like people are starting to take this much more seriously now than a few weeks ago. I've seen this in my coworkers, and others who have been cancelling plans, as well as the increased mask usage I've seen at gas pumps.

Andover isn't a manufacturing point at this time. Pfizer selected their Kalamazoo for the initial supply for the US which will be supplemented by a plant in Belgium which is also supplying the EU.

So after the legislature in Michigan assigns the delegates to Trump, all that vaccine goes to red states?

I didn’t realize Andover wasn’t the initial plant. Need to re-Google. I obviously read incorrect news.

Andover and Kalamazoo were the two US facilities they proposed for production. Pfizer chose the latter. Perhaps Andover will be a second source at some point.

https://boston.cbslocal.com/2020/11/...an-spit-covid/

Some guy spit on two girls for not wearing masks and told them he had covid. The thing that got me was the girl just said are you ok after spitting at her. He is obviously unhinged.

Regarding the mask mandate in NH, people may have also assumed there was a statewide mandate because the national media often represents it as having one. For instance, when they show maps of the US with all the states with statewide mask requirements shaded, NH is usually one of the shaded states.

In fact, the only statewide requirement was one for gatherings of over 100 people where social distancing wasn’t possible, and this was put in place in August, seemingly in response to a traveling week-long “tent revival” religious event coming to the town of New Ipswich from out of state. The leader was some Dane who was very defiant and believed COVID to be a hoax/conspiracy and insisted they would not be wearing masks, and originally they had plans to go out into the community and proselytize and a lot of locals were very worried.

I’m in the Monadnock Region close to the Mass border and the vast majority of people I see have been wearing masks despite no local ordinances in most towns. I do often shop in the town of Rindge, which borders Winchendon Mass, and has a Hannaford and Walmart, and half the cars in the parking lots have Mass plates. I’ve been seeing an increase in non-mask-wearers, with last weekend (before the new statewide requirement was put in effect) had probably the largest numbers of maskless shoppers since this spring. It seems to have increased since Trump recovered from COVID, and especially after the election. And I definitely think some of the non-mask-wearers are “mask refugees” from Massachusetts.

The new broader statewide mandate is still less restrictive than the one in Massachusetts.

Almost 3,000 new cases today although this is spread out over several days as they get caught up on results. They are getting behind again.

Sounds more like confirmation bias to me.

So you think people from Mass are going to NH just so they don't have to wear a mask in a store? More likely tax refugees.

It seems like they've been reporting them regularly. Yesterday was 2500, day before was 2700. Sorry to tell you but I dont think they're behind. 2991 cases today ugh.
