Another difference: AstraZeneca did a weekly test of everyone in the trial. Moderna and PHE didn’t. It could turn out that the Oxford-AstraZeneca with that half dose and full dose a month later is the more effective vaccine. Again, the data should be a lot better by the time most of us are eligible to receive a vaccine.

2020 biotech is freakin’ magical. It’s amazing that three good candidates exist 10 months after the virus was first sequenced.

1785 new cases today. That's way better than what we were seeing last week

I've been tested a number of times usually about five minutes in an hour. Today there was a line around the block and it took me about 2 hours. Having said that the crew of about 5 was down to about 2 and it was also quite cold and he also had to go to the bathroom.

They can't tell you it's the schools and that they've chosen to keep them open anyway because closing them would cause financial hardship for too many families. The outrage would be enormous. There would be no choice but to close the schools and send out stimulus checks. It is (and always has been) about money.

So, instead, we're repeatedly told that it's because of small informal gatherings with friends and family.

Funny how these gatherings only became a problem in September.

It's an insult to our intelligence.

Of course it was advised against. It's a horrible idea and absolutely causes spread. It isn't, however, the reason why the spread has exploded.

You're in denial about the schools.

Indeed. I was in my car listening to NPR's reporting on the "viral vector" technique used by the AZ vaccine, and literally joined my hands in a silent prayer that God has given humankind such intellect.

Lines in at city sponsored testing sites in Cambridge have averaged 10 minutes until now. This weekend there was a long line of cars queued up to get into drive thru testing at the Galleria. People are trying to get a clear test so they can travel or feel better about celebrating Thanksgiving with grandma.
