Not me.

Wife and I withdrew our kid from Day Care back in March. We only needed coverage through June, as my wife is a teacher and home from school in the summer. We figured back in march that schools and day care. would be done through June/July at least. Might as well save the money.

Now i'm finding difficulty hiring a fall co-op because many colleges are planning on remote learning this fall meaning no on-campus housing for returning students. SO those applying for my position don't know where they will be living in the fall. Makes me wonder what public schools will do in the fall

When officials said this would be 12-18 months of disruptions..i believe it.

EDIT: NH just closed school for the rest of the year. I believe 23 states so far have cancelled for this year.

Im not suprised but I also don’t see that there has been official word on any type of extentsion ??

I am a bit frustrated with the reaction of MA. VT and NH have had much smaller numbers than MA yet they’ve closed school for the year.

Come on MA do what’s right.

Because MA hasn't given one. I was only speculating since the New England/NY region has banded together in a "reopening pact". Given that NY has extended, only a matter of time...

Right and it’s ridiculous that MA isn’t making these decisions already when states who’ve been hit far less than we have been are.

Given the actions, or lack of, by other states in the union ... temper your outrage some. I'm sure the Baker admin is working both at the state level and federal level to form an appropriate and measured plan. It's complex issue.

MA is like 3rd worst in the nation. They haven’t been assertive enough at all.

Saw reports that Walmart, Target, etc did Black Friday like sales yesterday. People buying TVs with their stimulus money instead of like.. y'know, paying down credit card debt or rent.

Well, it was called "stimulus" money.

The numbers look less bleak when adjusted to per capita (population);i.e., the curve looks rather predictable. Either way, I do not place too much value on the numbers as testing remains woefully inadequate, largely due to resource limitations (e.g., reagents for the test).

I fully expect southern states, if they actually report honestly, to have their infection curves explode in the coming weeks similar to LA.
