Despite these numbers our Governor has extended the civil emergency and doubled down on mask requirements. This does not seem to be about "flattening the curve" or even public health concerns any longer.
Are you paying any attention to what's going on around the country? States that reopened too soon. Florida, Texas, Arizona. Mostly due to people refusing to take basic precautions like distancing, mask wearing, hand washing, etc. ICUs are at capacity or beyond in some cities. Is that what you want? It's entirely up to us whether we want to get this under control or not. If we can't practice basic common sense on our own, the government will have to step in and force us to wear a mask or whatever and babysit us like we're a bunch of kids. I'd like to show them wrong, but it's not looking good. We are still seeing new localized outbreaks, where was it Houlton that recently had one? A small town hours away from any city, there was never a reason for that to happen. We are going to have everything shut down again because people won't smarten the heck up. This is NOT over with.

Please be mindful that differing views are just that and bickering will not be tolerated here. Thanks.

I had an appointment at my eye dr. They did not ask me to wear a mask.
My wife said the dentists didn't require one either
