...Summary...
The National Weather Service in Gray ME has confirmed a tornado
over Sebago Lake in Cumberland County Maine on 07/01/2017.

National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed a suspected
tornado that was reported on the western shore of Sebago Lake.
While there was minimal damage found over land, the combination of
eyewitness reports, pictures, and video showing a well developed
waterspout just off the shore of East Sebago confirm a tornado. A
pontoon boat that was flipped as well as some minor damage to
fencing was likely the result of inflow winds that were blowing
toward the descending funnel cloud. There were no damage
indicators that would result in a rating higher than EF0

When I have a chance I wanna actually see the data. I know they have before for the U.S and globe as a whole but now for actual stations??

Maine didnt show much warming trend but by making early 1900s cooler and erasing the hottest year on record 1913, the warming trend spikes up harder.

47 NWS degrees in Millinocket and 44 here at the house in the frost pocket down by the brook. We normally don't get a frost in July, but one farmer in town has replanted twice this year due to rain and cold soil temperatures.

Dang. I'm absolutely jealous of you guys. I have a temperature thingamabob at the house. When I'm off, I'm usually just chilling in my favorite chair. Playing a video game, decompressing from a 24 hr.shift. I occasionally look at that temperature. Some days it shows 100-103°. That's before noon. I can handle this temperature if it wasn't so darn humid. Rain? I much prefer it to rain a ways off from me. That way generally would push a nice cool breeze our way. But if it rains in our location, it steams us right after.

We don't have much of a fall. Or winter. Or spring. Usually around Christmas and New Years, I'm popping fireworks in my shorts. It's a little cool from Nov to April. Then warms up. Get an occasional cool front to tease you, makes you long for another few months of cool comfortable weather. Then bam! Warms up. It's insane at times. Open the door, go feed our farm animals, come back in and we're all sweating, sticky. Shower time. I tend to stay outside as much as I can. But it gets old after 20 mins!

Sucks that some of you guys had a tornado. We've been having loads of flooding. Thankfully we haven't had a strong hurricane.

Maine has been calling me for years and hoping soon we'll sell and call Maine home. We're not afraid of the snow. Looking forward to a friendly snow fight with the wife!
