According to the nypost Biden asked opec to cut production after the mid terms. They laughed at him cause they don’t respect him.
I hope he releases a ton of barrels from the reserves and I’ll try and lock in. If he doesn’t get this under control by the midterms he’s screwed.
At this point if he doesn’t we are screwed. Let’s see how bad he can manipulate the local market.
Home heating oil is over $5 COD, rapidly approaching $6 depending on the provider and amounts you get delivered. Going to be a brutal cost wise for many even if we have a mild winter.

After we're down to $82 a barrel something is very fishy..

A lot of people said they'll wait and won't sign, I really wonder if we will see a reduction.
Today news said Biden will tap on reserves, wonder if that will make any difference. If Oil companies know better than everyone else, and if they also think it's temporary, they wouldn't have offered sub $4 on contract. I really wonder if the prices will stabilize. How does gas at the pump remains same ($3-$3.40) but home heating fuel jumps $1.50?
What's interesting to see is how the difference between COD and "retail" has narrowed greatly. COD used to be $1-$1.50 less than prices quoted by NYSERDA or in articles like the ones attached. I filled up (COD) in Sept when it was in the mid 4s and that same delivery is almost $300 higher

New data from the US Energy Information Association shows the average price for a gallon of No. 2 residential heating oil jumped from $4.62 to $5.33 in the last week, a 15% increase. That’s the highest price ever, at least since EIA started tracking this data in 1990

Heating oil is most expensive in the following states:
Delaware: $5.63
New York: $5.54
Connecticut: $5.50
New Jersey: $5.50
Maryland: $5.49
I’m sorry. I really feel terrible for all of you oilers.
I no longer have oil heat but I’ll never forget the last time this happened in like ‘08 or whenever that was. It sucks. It really sucks. It damn near crippled me.
Is there a reason why heating oil is going for nearly $5.70 a gallon when the cost per barrel has dropped overall? It's going to cost a fortune to heat my home this winter. These prices literally make no sense. I could understand somewhere around $3.50-$4 but this is just ridiculous.
