Hope this week is filled with good news for all of us. I posted this a few pages back and never got a response, so I am trying again. I applied for another MGM property and I thought I had read somewhere that they only have a set time to notify an applicant whether they will or will not continue on in the hiring process. Can anyone chime in and let me know if that's the case. I know things are different when it comes to CC (seems people have been waiting forever), but there is a set time HR sets at other properties to notify applicants.

Thanks
HI everyone,
FYI to answer your questions and also to all of you guys waiting for CC offers. I applied for a position at the Corporation (can't say which one for confidentiality issues). Without saying too much but too confort everyone, I am still waiting. My status is Open/Active. There is no time frame for HR to call candidates. As long as your status is Active/ Open or Blank you are still in the running.
I know for a fact that they are way behind on job offers and very overwhelmed (cc and other properties). The CC HR office is doing their best. Managers are busy working and preparing CC openning and some day there are not enough hours in the day to take the time to call for job offers while still doing your day to day job.
They processed a lot of internals but most of them are not taking the jobs at CC because they don't want to loose their seniority so externals will get more chance to get in.
I hope this help, I know it is frustating not knowing but, everyone keep being patient and positive....the time will come soon...
Cheers and good luck!

Seriously what is the difference between being a food server and a cocktail server? Hey did you apply for a lounge server at one of the restuarants? because I was looking at Arias list of jobs and one of the lounge server position is posted again.....

Thumbs up what to do expect...

hello everyone,

i applied for a pantry(garde' manger)position back in march i think it was, had a second interview in may, and haven't heard anthing YET, it says my app is still active, so i called a couple weeks ago and she said the same thing active, and i sould be hearing something here soon..i have an idea where my app is, i interviewed with someone i worked with in the late 90's as he's a room chef at a mirage restaurant, i'm feeling after everyone that transfers to CC from other properties those that haven't heard anything will get what's left over..something to think about..i'm happy with my job 11 years, now but was even more happier when CC called me for my first interview..and now??so those that got your new positons good luck, enjoy and i hope the best for vegas as alot of casino's are praying this works for the economy..ttly

Anyone have an updated time frame of how late into this year they will be extending job offers? I heard somewhere on here that it was until mid october.

When you had your last interview did the person interviewing you give you a buisness card? Here is something you might want to try. Send an Email to the hiring manager who sat down with you. Simply tell her or him how much you are still interested in the position and would love to join the CC team. Let him know what you would bring to the department and restate your qualifications. I have been a Casino Manager for several years and those emails always impress me. Its just a suggestion.
Try it what have you got to lose. I gave my 2 weeks notice today and they aren't too happy.Good luck everyone.
