@NevadaLou. Whitney is great! She was who I was going to refer you to. Their splits are 60/40 for short term, 70/30 for 30 days or more, then I believe 90/10 for 1 year or longer. I do know Sara, she is fantastic! She is a great asset to Aston. As I said before, Aston does have their pro/cons. You just have to reasearch your needs and see which company fits you better. LLv Villas seems like they do more weekly/monthly rentals. Aston said they may adjust their % in the future. I'll monitor that and their occupancy rates in the future and see if that fits better for us.

If you still want to chat, send me a private message with your contact info, I'd be happy to chat. I'll also be in LLV next weekend and would be happy to meet you in the village for a latte and chat then too!!

Hello again LLVRESIDENT...glad we found Whitney too! Sounds like you are happy with them. Is your condo being rented more with them or was it rented more with Aston? The splits sound better. We are going to miss Sara too. She is an asset to Aston! I asked her if they found anyone to replace her yet and she said no. Again, thank you so much for the info. We really appreciate it!! Enjoy the desert sun and the beautiful lake. We will not get to visit until the end of the year.

We rented well with Aston. However, we were with them under the old contract. In December, our condo rented 19 nights and we owed Aston $300.00. Quite the deal for them, eh?

Rental has been good with LLV Villa/Castle mgt as well. It's been more weekly and monthly. If you aren't going to use your condo until the end of the year, I'd just do monthly until you do visit.

Good luck with the closing!

Can anyone report on how the Falls and Reflection Bay courses are looking?

This recent article in the Las Vegas Sun news paper about a new owner for the shutter Casino Monetlago at Lake Las Vegas includes additional info on what is going on with the south shore golf course, and it looks like other golf courses remain closed.

License sought to operate shuttered Casino MonteLago

By Amanda Finnegan
There appears to be another bright spot for the financially troubled Lake Las Vegas community. A Las Vegas-based company called Intrepid Gaming has filed for a license to operate the shuttered Casino MonteLago in the development’s MonteLago Village Resort. The company filed its application for a non-restricted gaming license with Nevada Gaming Control on Feb. 14, three days after Dolce Hotels and Resorts reopened the former Ritz-Carlton next door as the Ravella hotel.

How about the watering and maintenance of the Falls/Reflection Bay courses? I've been in WA State for the past few weeks.

I've seen ongoing watering and sporadic mowing taking place on both courses. The Falls seems to be responding the best and is looking pretty good and green. I think Reflection Bay was let go for too long, and I think it will be hard to resuscitate without overseeding and some TLC. Quite a bit of brown patches and weeds, though some shades of light green appearing.

Have you heard anything about the LLV entrance improvements and when they might begin? I haven't seen any activity as of yet, but it would be great if they could get it done in time for the casino opening.

@ Ecco. The date to complete the parkway keeps changing. I'm now hearing May/June. The improvements were supposed to commence in January 2011. Always seems to be red-tape.

A friend/neighbor show me some photos of the River Mountain Loop trail. This trail currently runs about 32 miles and there are several areas under construction and will all link together. One of those areas is just west of Lake Las Vegas and runs along the Las Vegas wash. You'll be able to access it near the fire station in Lake Las vegas and the trail should be done by this July.

What a great thing for Lake Las Vegas!!! You can hop on beautiful trails so closeby.
