I checked the City of Henderson Business License website. I see that the City appears to have already issued the liquor and gaming licenses for the Casino Montelago. Yahoo!

Here are some updated articles I found online. It's so great to see quotes as:

"Lake Las Vegas could be one of the most spectacular and exciting properties in Nevada" in the article below.

There is some great momentum in Lake Las Vegas!!!!!!!

Okay, thanks very much for the update on the road LLVResident. As for the River Mountain Loops Trail, I've hiked it (partially anyways) many times and can attest it is a fantastic amenity to have so close by.

I was in Lake Las Vegas last week through today. I think the Falls Golf Course looks really great! Nice and green, manicured. Looked like there should be golfers on it!!!! The city is not giving any information on the current status of them. I'm also combing the legal documents website and there is nothing there as well. My hope is that there is some meaningful negotiation to wrap this issue up, including the pump house.

The village was pretty busy all weekend. Friday night at 10pm, all of the restaurants will still busy and the Ravella fire pit was packed!! I had lunch at Bernards' Bistro yesterday. For a Tuesday at lunch, the village was pretty busy!!

The casino is still opening on Memorial Day weekend. I popped in the other day and it is coming together. I also noticed they are putting in a firepit in the lower outdoor patio seating area, which will be great for cool nights and eating outside. Memorial Day weekend there is a taco and tequlia fest as well as concerts and a raffle for a Toyota Camry.

One thing the village needs is a full service bike rental place. There are 32 miles of bike trails which are connected just outside LLV. It would be fantastic for both local and visitors to have access to the bikes and the trails. The former Ritz had rentals, I'm not sure if Ravella is renting them and at what capacity. It seems like LLV is attacting a larger athletic crowd with all of the triathlons.

@Rebel, thanks for the link. I mentioned in the LLV update post that I popped my head in the village entrance yesterday. They were installing wood floors and the door happened to be adjar. They have removed the conference room the prior operator added and now there are 4 entrance doors from the village. It looks more open and spacious! From where I could see, it looks like things were coming together in the casino.

I also noticed a firepit is being installed in the outdoor casino patio seating area, which will be great to take the chill off the evenings.

The overall vibe and energy of the village and LLV does seem more positive. I just hope they bring the water taxi back!!

I'll keep updating things. Hope to see everyone at the opening memorial day weekend!!!

It's a shame Reflection Bay still is in very poor shape. Occasionally the sprinklers are on and bizarrely enough the mowers were out yesterday. But we're still seeing more yellow grass and dirt than green. Go figure!
