@ Waltman, yes, Reflection Bay was ruined by the current owners Carmel Land and Cattle, to the detriment of Lake Las Vegas. But, they are billionaires so I'm sure this is the least of their worries.

I ran across this article today while doing an internet search. It's about the company who recently purchased the South Shore Club. They apparently have the cash to purchase golf courses. In reading between the lines, the company plans to "cluster golf courses to compliment each other". Hmmm, I know where you could cluster 3 in Lake Las Vegas.

Greetings, I'm still checking the court dockets for the Carmel vs City of Henderson lawsuit and also watching the City of Henderson city counsel forum minutes for an update on the golf courses.

There has been no written information since the 2/10/11 hearing. I already posted here what the judge ruled, the next hearing was 3/31/11, which did occur and no other activity since. My contacts at the city are very tight lipped now. This make me wonder if there is some negotation/resolution occuring. Let's hope!

How are the courses looking? Falls looked great last weekend. RB, kinda sad.

@ GolfinNova.. Thanks. I'll be there next weekend. I did hear that the Grocery store is still in the process. There is some build out that has to be done to convert it to a true grocery. This just takes time, approvals from everyone and of course money. The new coffee shop is to open any day now. They are still going through the red-tape to open with the city, health dept etc even though the property was basically turn-key. Casino, still opening Memorial Day weekend.

Default LLV Resident - Nearly New LLV Resident

LLV Resident,

You appear to be a great help and wealth of knowlege. We are very close to being new owners in Luna and we have a few questions for you.

1) Do you know about how often 1 bedroom Luna units are renting this time of year through Aston? Do you know about how often they are renting over the course of a year (Average number of days per month)?
For example could April get 12 out of 30 days rented or is that too optimisitc? How about for a year average?

2) What is your knowlege about using a company like Castle managment?
a) Do they have problems getting keys and servicing the guests simply because Aston makes it harder for other companies to manage the rooms? For example do they only get a few keys a year and can't lose them etc.

b) Does Castle have a better split with the owners and can you use them for a one time cleaning if the owner happened to find a renter for an entire month or a few weeks?

3) Are there any major problems or differences between Luna or Viera that the average person would not know?

I don't what to write too many questions so I will leave it at that for now. I really appreciate your help and look forward to your reply.
