So, I found out yesterday that the City and Carmel agreed to a temporary watering agreement, which is why you see Reflection Bay being watered. The Falls already has a meter so it was always able to bypass the lake. But, are they just watering dead fairways?

The next hearing regarding the lawsuit is 3/31/11. I'll post what I find out.

I agree that it's odd that they'd keep the same name. If they are going to keep the name...it should be something like "The Montelago at Lake Las Vegas".

I think the Falls is starting to come back and is looking much greener, but Reflection Bay may be just watering weeds at this point. Hopefully they will both come back.

Default Transportation to Airport

We recently bought a home in Lake Las Vegas and love the area however still living out of state. Are there any good ways to get to the airport and back? I assume we are not the only ones there part-time and just wondering how other people have done this. Is there already a ride-share group or anything set up with the residents? We have been going out about once per month or so.

On the way out Saturday morning it appeared that the ponds at the falls were being re-filled. Including the large one behind the clubhouse.

@GHouse. Welcome to Lake Las Vegas. See my transportation answer in the Grocery store post.

One other suggestion I have is to find a monthly parking lot near the airport that you can leave a car and then have a short taxi ride to the lot from the terminal. I recall a friend of mine leaving their car at an RV park that also also had boat and car storage. It was around $75.00 a month.

@ Rebel.. Thanks for that update. Wow!! That is significant!!!!! What eyesores those were. If those are being filled, something is definetely happening!!!!!! I heard rumors that one of them may be opened in June.

Keep us posted on that. I'm in WA state right now. Will be back in a few weeks. And, of course for the opening of the casino Memorial Day weekend.

Has anyone driven by the ponds for the Falls Course? Are they being refilled?

The court finally posted the summary of the 2/10/11 judge's decision. Here it is. The next hearing is on 3/31/11.

ALSO PRESENT: Elizabeth Quinlan, Esq., City Attorney for City of Henderson. Court stated the matter has been under advisement and the Court will issue rulings on competing motions for summary judgment today; the key facts are not in dispute; it is a matter of interpretation, scope and intent of language involved and the Court will issue findings.

Court finds the 1991 agreement applies to Reflection Bay and Falls golf courses; Court does not find that the course of dealing would mandate that the City of Henderson has any burden beyond what the agreement calls for; the City's obligation is to deliver water to the point of delivery and that is to the meters; there is no ambiguity in the language and there is no obligation of the City to deliver raw water to either golf course. Court added there are remaining issues of intent and course of dealings regarding the raw water plan and the Court was not asked to make specific determinations on all of the issues.

Court further finds that the Lake Las Vegas project developed in such a way that it is clear that Falls Golf Course was part of the project and as to that issue there is no genuine issue of material fact in dispute. Colloquy between Court and Mr. Walch regarding findings on Lake At Las Vegas Joint Venture LLC's requests for declaratory relief.

Court acknowledged motion to strike jury demand has not been decided and will be calendared for hearing. John O'Reilly, Esq, suggested the matter be continued for status check and he will prepare a draft order as to the Court's rulings on competing motions for summary judgment for all counsels' review.

COURT ORDERED, matter CONTINUED for Mandatory Rule 16 Conference, in preparation for which all counsel should discuss compliance deadlines and trial dates; FURTHER ORDERED, matter SET for hearing on motion to strike jury demand. 03/31/11 09:00 AM MANDATORY RULE 16 CONFERENCE 03/31/11 09:00 AM LAKE AT LAS VEGAS JOINT VENTURE LLC'S MOTION TO STRIKE PLAINTIFF'S JURY DEMAND
