Yes, domergurl does a fine job (laughing hysterically~ just kidding DG ~ you are wonderful!)
I just think you would make a great addition to City Data as a moderator in any state forum.
I read some of your post in another city forum and wooo you stood your ground, I was rooting for you all the way Those guy's in that other forum are BRUTAL and they like to argue with EVERYONE.
You are intellectual, informative, encouraging, unbiased and very tasteful with your post...and I thank you for that, it's refreshing!!!

I think your question should be "Does anyone else not like living close to Louisville? Indiana has tons to do! No sports teams? What about the Colts, Pacers, Fever, and pre-professional teams like the Ice and Indians? What about Indiana's low taxes, amazing state parks, higher education opportunities, and Hoosier values?

Sounds like you are in a rut and need to get out a little more.

Don't forget racing. Indy 500, NASCAR, NHRA Drag racing. If you like to go fast, this it the place to be. Just drive on I465.

I will say, the speed limit on I-465 is something I've always hated. Don't portions of Binford Blvd have speed limits as high, if not higher than I-465? There's no reason it shouldn't be 65. The speed limit on the interstates here in Columbus, OH is 65 all the way around the loop and even most of the way into the city on other interstates. People don't drive any faster than they do in Indy. The only difference is that we don't have that small percent of people trying to follow a 45-55 mph speed limit choking up the lanes.

No, speed limits on Binford do not exceed those of 465. And while the posted speed limit on 465 is 55, let's face it, most of us are pushing it to 70.

Thanks grmasterb. I was thinking some part of Binford might have been 60. Maybe because it's also Hwy 37. Regardless, I still see no reason for the speed limit to not be 65 on most of the interstates around town and 55 downtown. As you said, most people are pushing 70 anyway. Anyone driving 80+ would probably be doing so regardless of the speed limit, so I don't think raising the limit would really raise the number of people driving at those speeds.

I am in my mid-twenties and am from Seattle, Wa. I am moving to Bloomington to finally finish my education , settle down and be an adult. I am over Seattle, when I was in Indy I enjoyed myself and felt like it was the place for me. Everyone I meet talked to me , its inexpensive to live there compared to where I live nowand it seems like a great place to start over. Moreover, the dudes in your state are very different from the whiny, skinny jean wearing guys up here in the Pacific Northwest.
