Bowtie pasta with pancetta and zucchini in a bit of cream and Parmesan sauce, caprese salad and Italian bread slices. The pasta recipe is from an old Jeff Smith/Frugal Gourmet cookbook I own. I make adjustments of course.

There are LOTS of leftovers for two people.

I made caramelized onions in my small crock pot. Cheese & mushroom topped burgers with the onions.

Last weekend in August how time is flying and it is still hot and very humid outside. The plan is to get up tomorrow by dawn and go cycling before it gets too uncomfortable.Sunday we meet up with family for a barbecue.

The other day someone send me a recipe: Ice cream bread just with ice cream of your choice and self rising flour.Has anyone here tried this recipe? I was told it taste dense but very flavorful.

Tonight omelette with chive, cheese served with Bauernbrot/farmer bread, dill butter and a tomato/onion salad in an olive oil, viegar, salt, black pepper viaigrette .To drink Stella Artois. For dessert jamocha ice cream.

Have a good weekend everyone!

This was for me the worst harvest for tomatoes, chilies and cucumbers. The plants got so stressed out from the heat and humidity that my cucumbers taste bitter and the tomato leaves look so sad yellow and brown already.

I feel your pain, Alm.

I love auto-correct on my phone, cuz it saves time, but I have to remember to READ my texts before I hit send. This week, my sister was texting about her son & I meant to say the circumference of whatever we were talking about & it auto-corrected to circumcision.

Her reply, "???????"

Lol.

I'm not hungry at all today, but it's mainly as I couldn't sleep & got out of bed at 3am to eat tuna & noodles, then finally fell asleep after 5am... so, I'm still full. All I'll eat today is dinner... sausage patty, a few egg yolks & I'll heat up a homemade roll I froze, if I'm really hungry.

Just realized it's Friday! What happened to Wed & Thurs?! Have a good weekend, All!
