Bratwurst grilled and in lightly toasted bun with a Dijon type of mustard, hot dog relish, raspberry chipotle, & coleslaw and tater tots. Stewart’s orange cream drink.
Thin slice of lemon cake coupled with scoop of Tillamook’s mudslide ice cream. I know, sounds like a strange pairing, but it was good.
DH was angry with me last night for trying to have a conversation during his favorite tv program. With his Alzheimer's getting worse you never know what will come out of his mouth and I'm not sure he does either.
He must have felt bad about it this morning, if he remembered, because when I came down he had gone to the store and bought me a huge porterhouse steak for supper. He also bought three pounds of good ground beef. So I mixed up my wild rice hamburger recipe and he grilled them along with the steak.
He had two with a spinach salad. I ate some of the steak and a baked potato with sour cream and chives.
All is better.
Earlier this week I made a banana walnut cake and frosted it with coffee and cinnamon flavored cream cheese frosting. Definitely recommend trying this on one of your favorite cakes. It turned the mundane into a special treat.
Orange chicken & brown rice, cucumber salad, vanilla bean ice cream with Ghirardelli’s chocolate sauce for dessert. The dessert was a no-no, but worth it!
Grilled hamburgers on "buns" (some healthy high fiber soft bread ), with tomatoes, onions, blue cheese and banana peppers. Side of lemon cucumbers and tomatoes.
And zucchini bread.
