I made for tonight chicken soup with root vegetables,adding a can of Guinness .For dessert apple pie.
In slow cooker 2 I made green lentil soup to freeze..On the stove I boiled a big pot of milk for homemade yogurt. I also cooked a pot of masoor/channa daal ( yellow and red lentils) to freeze in portions.Quietly a beer bread (sheenas recipe) was rising on the kitchen counter to serve with tonight chicken soup.

Poblano peppers stuffed with shrimp in a creamy green chili sauce - topped with same and Monterrey jack cheese. The peppers are big so I'm not yet sure if I'm going to have an additional side. If I do it will be corn or a revival of a yellow squash casserole I made a few days ago.
Not really hungry. Will probably settle for a flour tortilla with cheese and green chile and maybe a scrambled egg in it.
