May I ask, how long does it take you to grill that Tomahawk steak?
Indirect heat?
I've been seeing them at the store, and I'm always curious as to how I would cook it. It's so darn thick!
I cook mine in the oven, as if it was a prime rib. Very high heat for 15 minutes then roast at 350 until it reaches the desired doneness. We like med rare-rare, so you have to watch the thermometer carefully. Take it out 5 degrees under, and rest.
At 2-3#, a tomahawk is perfect for two people, with leftovers.

I think he has been the back sear method. We have a ceramic grill, and I think he uses a heat diffuser in the beginning while the steak gets to temp, then removes it when he brings the temp up to 600 for searing.

Last night the Lodge had a seafood gumbo, it was very good. This evening it will be a tiny sirloin steak, carrots, & some frozen veg ( whatever I can find)
Chicken stir fry with eggplant, zukes and bell peppers. I'm over it, I need to make zucchini bread or something. I never thought I would complain about the garden doing well.
