At the moment I have in a large slow cooker a chicken bathing in a 750 ml "OPEN Smooth Red Merlot" from the Niagara Peninsula and added water. I added onions,carrots,black pepper corn, bay leaves,ginger,garlic (any vegetable of your choice).It starts to smell in the whole house after wine.Once the chicken soup is ready I will serve it with bread dumplings. I had this type of chicken soup in December at a friends place and it was a recipe to add to my cooking treasure box.For dessert 1/2 a pink grapefruit.
