We had grilled, well-marbled, beef tenderloin with porcini risotto and roasted asparagus. Man, that was some luscious, tender beef. We could cut it with a fork.

When I went to purchase the tenderloin, I noticed the marbled portions (on sale at $9.99lb) were half the price of the lean portions (at $19.99lb). The "best by" dates were the same on both, so I purchased the marbled portions.

Today, I had 2 pints of homemade iced coffee with an organic apple in the blender & a few dates & figs. I'm too busy studying for state boards. In a few days, I'll have time to think about actual cooking, like a real grown up person.

We have lots of left over veggies from our pot roast a few nights ago, so I am going to mash them. I have a couple of pork steaks I will cook up and probably have cold slaw. It isn't spoiled brats favorite, but that is life. I think I get to pick once in awhile and he will eat it.
