Still a heatwave lasting til mid of next week. The air is humid and muggy. We are invited over to friends to cool off in the swimming pool and after we will have a barbecue. I will bring our favorite plum/Zwetschgendatschi which will be served with whipping cream and ice coffee.

Have a good weekend everyone

I had McDonalds for lunch. It always sounds good beforehand but now I feel yucky! To combat that we are having a large salad with lots of greens and raw vegetables. I also have some really good feta and boiled eggs for the salad. I will cook up some sausages for those that want meat too.

Having an early dinner - chicken salad with shredded cheddar on a croissant, wraaped in foil, then baked at 350 for 40 min., a simple salad, and for dessert during Dateline tonight, hot fudge sundaes.

The freezer is pretty empty and so is my energy level..... chicken and black bean burritos with veggies, and left over hot dogs from last night...

Edit: Yeah, no.... lazier than I thought. Panda Express (chow fun, angus beef, chinese steamed fish and eggplant tofu). And nope, I'm not even going to get it.

Enjoyed a large turkey and provolone sandwich with all the produce (tomatoes, lettuce, pickles, onion, peppers) on wheat bread from Togo's in San Jose earlier this evening after watching a college football game there. Those from northern California are probably familiar with the popular Togo's sandwich chain. Drank water as I had to drive home afterwards. (Drank a Sierra Nevada beer at the game earlier in the day).

I slept through dinnertime, so I had it at 2am... mashed organic red potatoes with homemade gravy & pan sauteed green & yellow beans with a simple salad. Best 2am dinner I've had.
