PittNurse: Got this from a friend: "The radio had a news conference just now from the Rockies office announcing that ticket sales are suspended right now for a while---maybe hours or longer. They are working hard to fix the problems. Only a few hundred tickets were sold and they are valid but the computer server got overwhelmed and needs to be shut down and fixed. I heard the actual news conference at 12:25 mst"

As of 12:58 PM MST, the system is working again. Keep trying. s/Mike

Thanks, will try.

Just got on their website, and I copied this:

http://colorado.rockies.mlb.com/col/ticketing/ws_ticket_update.jspa (broken link)

Yeah, it's down again. Rats! I posted what I did a few minutes ago as it seemed to be working, at least that silly 'refresh' page was working again, now it won't work either, I just get the same 'update' message you quoted.

I'm gonna keep trying.

That was an incorrect URL. The correct one is

The Official Site of The Colorado Rockies: Tickets: World Series Ticket Update

Anyways, that is just a notice about the ticket problem.

I still have my browser on the web page doing the countdown. The countdown is working, so maybe once it comes back up, I might be able to get right in (or not).

Though, do you think they would restart ticket sales without making some public announcement first?

Apparently they are starting the whole process over again at 12:00pm Tuesday. Quite embarrassing for the Monforts, I must say.

Default Would you sell 'em?

I am reading the story in today's Gazzette about Rox tickets going for $730 to $17,800 for rock pile seats. If you got 4, would you sell some off? What if someone offered you $5k for all 4? I have to admit I'd be tempted to stay home and watch on my gigantic new TV.
