Hi All

I'm going to be in town this week and plan on catching a Rockies game Tuesday night vs. Tampa Bay. Can anyone suggest the best seats for around $15-$20 to get?

The tickets might be a hot item since the team is on a winning streak. But since it's a weekday game there might be less interest. I've had better luck with the scalpers (who are everywhere by the stadium and have seating charts handy) for getting decent tickets a bit cheaper. Plus, if you wait about an inning they'll be dirt cheap.
Another bet is the rockpile (centerfield bleachers) where tickets are $5. It's been raining off and on in the evenings so maybe bring a jacket or prepare accordingly.

I've always found it a very roomy stadium, with lots of walking around space and places to stand. Never been hassled by ushers. Left field bleachers are the place to be for batting practice, lots of free baseballs.

Since I won't have the wife and kid with me, I can spend time checking out different views and seats. I'll grab a cheap seat and venture in to the high rent area towards the end of the game. My hotel is about a mile from the stadium (hotel curtis). Is it safe to walk?

Left outfield tickets (around sections 142-152) should be in that range. Have fun!! I'll be at the Tuesday game too.

And yes, it is safe to walk! Have fun!

Thanks! While I don't like being away from my family overnight, my work travel gives me a great chance to see new cities and most importantly visit ballparks I haven't been to before. I'm looking forward to cheering for the Rockies!

Perfect timing, they might break their winning record of 11 to 12! GO ROX!
