I have to say it's been weird here.
I know for a fact that many of the big hospitals in Dallas are being overwhelmed with the coronavirus surge right now. My wife's hospital has resorted to drafting in nurses who havent been at a bedside in years, that's how heavy the demand is right now. Floor after floor are being converted into covid floors. Yet watching the local news here you wouldnt know it, and would think everything is honky dory in DFW. And it's just not the case.

What in the heck news station do you watch? WFAA extensively covers the reality of COVID (locally as well as state-wide and nationally) every single night.

Do you have to be actively working in healthcare to be eligible for 1A? I keep my license current but do not practice. Would I be eligible?

How many other 1As having no luck with availability?? Younger with limited exposure to at risk patient population, so not the biggest deal personally. Get the sense anything before March will be a miracle.
