Denton County really has their act together. I was one of the literally thousands at Texas Motor Speedway. They had a couple of hundred volunteers directing traffic and managing all the lanes. We rolled along and only stopped for 60 seconds to flash ID, QR number and sign a form. Then another 10 seconds for the jab. We did have to wait 15 minutes to make sure we didn't have a reaction and then we were sent on our merry way. All toll 20 MINUTES. As a 3rd generation Dallasite, it pains me to no end to see how far our city/county leadership has fallen. Anyway, kudos to Denton County, they were wonderful.

What is your point specifically?

One side of the political aisle is overwhelmingly to blame for Dallas' shortcomings in this context. Equality over speed isn't working out so well.

How is UTSW skipping and disregarding 1a's? 1a's and 1b's are eligible to get the vaccine right now. If UTSW wants to offer it to both groups then its their decision.

Re-read their eligibility. There is no mention of 1As. Only 1Bs.

I'm only guessing but wouldn't that be because nearly all A1s have been vaccinated or have access to other supplies?

Either that of A1s are eligible but not mentioned.

UTSW's wording that of the 10k people they can sign up all will be delegated to the 1B group. A break from every other guideline that purportedly includes group 1A.

I have, https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/covid...s-and-testing/

"How Fast is the Rollout and Who’s Next to Receive it?

We are currently vaccinating 1A–1B. Our progress through the additional phases will be based on future shipments of the vaccine. Guidance for our patients and our community will be provided in future communications."

Plenty of 1As still awaiting vaccines. More likely second scenario of negligence.

Once again, re-read their current eligibility that I posted above when one actually goes to register.
