Default Light Snow February 8, 2012

Although it looks like a lot right now, between the mountains and the Polar Vortex, it will be less as it moves towards us. Expect generally a dusting to 2 inches at most.

Starting after 5pm and lasting until just after midnight.

Saturday February 13, 2012 Storm Update

I'll make this simple. The 2 most trusted models are.. GFS and EURO.

Euro continues to have a 3-5" snowstorm for us.
GFS continues to have 0"..

We should just toss a Coin. .

GFS has been disgusting this year between temps and storms.

Saturday Feb. 11, 2012 SnowStorm Update

JB Calling for 3-6" . 3 Maybe, but 6? I mean you never know but thats a little to bold.

Whats happening is, wave from south will come up and phase with the Northern Stream as the Low in the Ohio Valley moves East a Low off the coast will redevelop.

The closer you are to coast the more snow you will have. Interior will get less if nothing.

Whats more shockingly is what NWS Boston wrote.

"IF THE 12Z EURO VERIFIES THIS COULD BE A NEAR RECORD COLD AIRMASS WITH THE ECMWF OFFERING 925 TEMPS OF -20C OVER SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND MON! THIS RESULTS IN THE ECMWF 2 METER TEMPS ONLY IN THE TEENS AND SINGLE DIGITS MON ALONG WITH BITTER COLD WIND CHILLS!"

NWS is saying only a “chance of snow showers before 3:00 PM on Saturday…then rain and snow showers with little or no accumulation . NWS is saying the chances of ANY precip are only 30 % at this point. So I think the odds of anything substantial for this Saturday are really long.

On the other hand…I’m actually starting to feel bad for winter/cold weather fans. Poor Henry seems dejected about the chance of any snow this weekend and even the chance of a snow on the 18 – 20 th. I think he senses time is slipping away:

LMAO. Great video by Henry. Mentions what I been seeing. GFS says nothing. Euro Says storm. Mentions the cold air. Shows frustration and bordem. and does not hype anything up. Kinda been like that all year with him. Down and out & no hype.

He did touch on next week but I made a promise recently not to mentions storms till 4-5 days out this season. :-(

Can you imagine Henry waited 2 hours until the latest GFS came out to do a video? He would be jumping out of his chair. LOL!!

Sunday Feb. 19th.

And now the Euro gives a foot or more to areas just north of Route 44 and I84 in Hartford for next weekend. 4-6" the rest of CT. Whatever. They can show it all they want I'm not believing it.

Way to NOT jinx it, buddy!

For what it's worth, I'm getting to experience a touch of winter, out here in Exton, PA this evening. The roads are too warm, but the grass is covered.
