Oh no. Not the Pacific again. Looks like we stay active into next week with the Sub Tropical Jet stream feeding off the Gulf of Mexico but the Pacific flow will start waving around the Polar Jet Stream so who ever is on the north side will get the wintry stuff.. DIVE DIVE!

Yes, "over-running" is seldom a good thing in the winter...usually means short-lived snow and/or the dreaded freezing rain/sleet possibilities.

Yup!

Here's todays setup, Northern jet Stream way down south. Clipper bringing light snow to us tomorrow. Not a setup for a big storm for us for not a situation for rain either.

Then look at Monday evening. 850mb freezing line angles with a coastal storm. Just seems to me its very weak this year and any push from the south the warm air has more force to move north.

Anyone north of this line is snow, south is rain or ice.

I don't know...I'm not seeing favorable pattern for big snowstorms yet. Maybe in a few weeks. We'll see. I am getting the feeling we might get surprised. Sometimes mother nature has a way of saying "Ah Ha, Caught You!"

Nice clipper. ashame it doesn't have more moisture with it to make it at least a note worthy event. Be safe tomm morning! I'll assume side roads will be covered and slick but not main roads.

Temps in the teens and 20s it will have no problems sticking from start.

lol. I see 3-7" snowfall reports in Wisconsin & Michigan from it but by time it gets here it will be lacking moisture.

Look at those temps out there. It's actually 20s and 30s down to gulf coast. Feels like 3 in Danbury with the light winds.

You can find a list of max and mins for Connecticut stations here.

This is sorted by lowest of the day. Looks like New Haven had the warmest temp. Nice rebound from 6°

Saw a guy Thursday afternoon in gym shorts milling around in a Dunkin Donuts parking lot -- Danbury area -- no common sense at all.
