I will. Euro has a big storm sliding off Virginia Sunday morning then goes well off the coast and out but not before throwing back a ton of snow on us...

Here's an animation of it.. You can see the storm starts in the south and draw Gulf moisture with it on Saturday morning. Clear day for us Saturday. Storm Exits Virginia Sunday morning. We start cloudying then Rain changes to snow for us Sunday evening/Sun night. Cleared by Monday morning.

Last colorful image is the snow totals from it. lol

This is not a forecast!

NWS NY for next Sunday's storm. Another one on Christmas keeps showing up as well. For them to put changing to all snow this far out is kinda interesting.

My gut telling me one of the storms (21st or 25th) will be a snowstorm.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NEW YORK NY
646 AM EST SUN DEC 14 2014

A DEVELOPING LOW OVER TEXAS AND ITS PROGRESSION INTO THE WEEKEND IS STILL UNCERTAIN. 00Z GFS HAS TRACKED THE LOW FURTHER SOUTH OF THE LOCAL AREA SATURDAY. P-TYPE IS ALSO UNCERTAIN...AND A LOT WILL DEPEND ON WHETHER THE DEPARTING HIGH HANGS IN LONG ENOUGH TO KEEP PROVIDING COLD AIR DURING THE EVENT. AT THIS EARLY JUNCTURE HAVE FCST EITHER RAIN OR SNOW SAT AFTERNOON CHANGING TO ALL SNOW

How many storms are coming?

For Christmas take your pick. Do you want Warm Rain, Cold Rain or snow? Storm looking more possible.

What excites me you ask?
What keeps me going and interested in weather you ask?
What makes me stay in CT you ask?

The Latest EURO12z does. BOOM. LOL

Sunday morning has a 988mb Bomb off NJ with enough cold air around to produce a snowstorm/blizzard conditions.

Thanks Cam. We are flying home from JFK sunday at 6pm so not sure if we will get out Sunday, Monday looks nice honestly I have to get home Sunday night but who knows now.

Weather looks very seasonable for our visit. Will be in Long Island, where does rain snow line start on this one?

How do you get excited about a storm 7+ days out?! It's 7 days out, it could fizzle into nothing. Happens all the times.

So we got some light rain Tuesday evening and night.

Sunday Storm Update:

Latest GFS, EURO, & DGEX models agree pretty much on the storm coming from the south and exiting Norfolk, Virginia.

Canadian stays way south and we get nothing. (I liked how Canadian handled last storm in this time frame but I thinks its waay off this time)

Once the storm exits those 3 are similar but the Euro & Dgex is a bit more north which brings more recip in for us. GFS as usual has a hard time phasing with the northern stream.

Euro is the slowest and more amplified with a sub 998 low upon exiting..

Problem with the slower solution is that is happens during the day on Sunday but the Euro still drops a ton of snow (6"+) for higher elevations of VA, WV, PA, MD. A tight gradient of 1-6 inches west of I-95 but manages to snow from SW CT southward due to the intensity of the storm. Hartford would be too far north with the Euro solution.

GFS being faster has snow breaking out Saturday night north of Philly with a couple inches for Southern New England.

So that big Euro bomb yesterday was a fluke but there's still time for that big snowstorm scenario to happen.

I need a big snowstorm! I'm not the same come spring and summer when I don't get snow or cold.

Spring/Summer 2012 I was severely depressed. That previous winter was horrific and not natural. Summer is bad enough around here at least lets have a true winter!

And if it's not going to snow at least stay well below normal for 4-8 weeks! Not this normal crap we been having. But still... something about a snowstorm that gets me going..

There's 52 friggin weeks in a year, give me at least 4-8 weeks of sub freezing max temps!
