Left a long post regarding overnight update on the models for this weekend. Back to square one pretty much. Higher elevation only. Storm not big or strong enough for CT to see it based on latest.

Consensus says it will just be a cold rain or dry and cold this weekend.

I'm still waiting for my first frost! It looks like that may finally happen this weekend.

Time to invest in new equipment--- I've had two frosts, so there is no way Windsor Locks has not.... Perhaps move the thermometer from the blacktop over the Bradley runway?

I live north of you- Hartford County- and I still have petunias blooming in my yard and tomatoes on the vine. Not a frost to be seen yet. The frost we've had up this way has been quite patchy and definitely not widespread, so it is absolutely believable that BDL hasn't had a frost.

Definitely believe so. 15 days of 90° this year the most anywhere north of Philly tied with Newark. NYC only 8. Will they realize this soon OR, maybe it is just the area itself as Mels said.

Perhaps the valleys have been protected this season so far? This will all change for everyone this weekend.

I still have the same vegetation... despite tripping 30 and 31 degrees on two separate occassions.

PA DOT getting ready ordering more Salt and supplies than last year, has anyone seen news about CT DOT? I remember last year they had ordered more than previous year.

I don't think so. Where I'm at in Wallingford is a valley and we've had 2 frosts so far.

Correct me if I am wrong, but just because temps were below freezing doesn't mean there was a frost. Frost mainly has to do with the dew point, not just the temperature. With that said, I still have not dipped below freezing at my house in Hartford County. 35F is the lowest I have recorded at my house so far this season.

You are right--- but a frost can occur above freezing (frost advisory may go into place for 35-36 degree lows). If you went below 32, you certainly had a frost event.
