How do you people live without A/C?????????? Damn you all should live in the south if you can tolerate the heat that easily....save some money in winter

I can't do heat that well, but my family doesn't like air conditioning (It'll be the last summer I have to deal with this...) I usually get light-headed in the afternoon. Nights are the worst though-- all I do is lay there and hope for a breeze (my house is on a hill). The upcoming 50s should be awesome!

We finally put the AC on on Tuesday. Up until that point we were able to get by with just the attic fan thanks to the coolish nights and low humidity. Tuesday and yesterday were brutally humid. And Today's not much better. Looking forward to the drier air this weekend

I still haven't used the AC and I'm thrilled about it! I use a fan to bring in cooler air early evening, and a shower before bed if need be.

63 years in CT, and have had window units, usually use less than 2 weeks a year. Whole house fan and window fans=cool and comfortable sleeping

Is the hurricane going to curve NE? Or is it going to stay North and hit us Friday night? Or what are our effects with the hurricane passing by?

It's staying off-shore. Expect overcast conditions with some downpours. The thunderstorms & rain we get are mostly going to be from a front. The only areas that will be experiencing strong effects from Arthur are the MA coastal areas and islands. Be weary of minor storm surge and strong surf down the entire east coast, though.

All ensembles have it tracking southeast of our position:
