I don't think that should be anything big-- maybe an inch or 2. I'll look into it.

Looks like a brief warmup next Fri and Saturday. Temps in the mid 40's but the cold comes right back. By Sunday it will be in the 20's. Models showing another shot of really cold air just after Christmas. Temps in the single digits

GFS temps for Sat 12/28.

Are we expecting some melting action today? I honestly don't feel like shoveling the entire driveway. This snow is horrible to lift when it gets compact and icy on top...

The sun is out in the Danbury area. The clouds are moving out pretty fast.

Tuesday Snow
By Quincy Vagell on December 15, 2013, 11:45am

Another round of snow is in the forecast for Connecticut this upcoming Tuesday.

Quote:
As a clipper dives south from Canada, a new low pressure system is forecast to develop just south of Long Island. This places Connecticut in the snow zone with cold air in place and moisture wrapping around the storm.

The snow is relatively short-lived, but many areas could see a plowable snowfall. The snow moves in by mid-morning, but is pretty much done by mid-afternoon. A general 1-4" of snow is expected, with the highest totals across eastern Connecticut. As the storm gets closer, the forecast snowfall totals can be fine-tuned.

Yup.. General 1-4" looking likely. Small event but like they said, shoveable for sure maybe plowable in spots.

3 snow storms in 1 week.

First effecting the Philly/NJ area on the 8th
Second very weak dropping 1-2" here on the 10th
Yesterdays storm on the 14th-15th
and now Tuesday the 17th a little more

4 storms in 10 days.

Here's NAM 24hr snow total for Tuesday. NAM usually overdoes precip amounts a bit.

Starts morning, ends in the evening.

Here we go again! Tomorrow should be pretty cold, most spots in the twenties for highs. Monday night may even be in the teens/single digits, leading to snow that will stick easily to the roads come Tuesday's clipper.
