I had 6.5 inches in Granby. I had my driveway cleared and was on my way to work by 7:15. The commute to Enfield took no longer than normal.

Well let's see. First we got around 15 inches, before the "big" storm. Then, after the "big" storm, we had an additional 30 inches. Then, we got around 6 more inches between then and now. And now, we have another 18 inches that I shovelled and hubby plowed off our driveway.

We'll also probably be looking at a contractor to replace the exterior and interior back wall to the house, because the roof gutters dammed up and the water is dripping through inbetween the walls at the rate of a couple gallons per hour. Assuming our bathroom wall still exists this time tomorrow, at least we'll be able to shower and pee indoors.

Sounds like, once again, Fairfield and New Haven counties got the jackpot.

Meanwhile, my friends in NYC are saying, "I love the snow!"

They don't drive. They don't have dogs. They don't own their homes, so they don't have to shovel. The only reason I don't want to smack them is because they *do* have to pay a gazillion dollars in rent every month.
Believe me, once you're even a LITTLE out of the City (or for some even just out of Manhattan) we feel like you do.

By the way, Hartford now has it's all-time monthly snow record: Yet Another Major Snowstorm Hits Northeast - weather.com

It says 48" monthly for Hartford but for metro NYC it's noting the totals as of 1am (even though the article says 6am...and they have been increased, the 15.3" for NYC is now 19" and I think Hartford has doubled the 6.5" they show there) so I'd bet willing to be you have your first ever 50" month. Welcome to Buffalo! (something Gov. Malloy actually said in the channel 8 article about the truck ban on I-95 I posted two pages ago).

I just finished clearing what was probably a little over a foot (I'm in Marlborough). My work is delayed this morning but my better half was able to get out at 7 am and said on the major roads (Rt.2, I-91) at least one lane was clear and not many people were out so it was a relatively easy commute. I'll be hitting the delayed rush hour (State is in at 12, a lot of big companies in Hartford are in between 10 and 12) so hopefully everyone behaves themselves on the roads.

This is from this morning on the back patio. The table had roughly 5-6inches on it to beg
in with. I cant get back there to measure it. Our complex parking area is a disaster.

I have 8 inches and I'm in Granby too. I didn't even attempt a commute in to Hartford today.
