I've been saying for years that Taylor and Hampton needs to go on a diet and be converted one wants all the way down to Harden Street.

3 lanes with parking on one side and bike Lanes on the other. It would be a win win for everyone

What Master Plan? Do you have a link for it I want to see it myself.

These types of things have been happening all too much lately and frankly there needs to be a dialogue on how to lower violent crime. While this one sounds gang related and may be a tougher issue to conquer, there’s got to be things we as a community and law enforcement can do.

After school programs, mentorship as children and young adults would help. I would say strict gun laws but this country is already so inundated with guns over the years it’s too little too late.

I just saw the 2018 murder numbers for the state. 43 in Richland county, insane, and 12 for Lexington. 393 for the entire state. Charleston county led the way with 46. Yikes!!

This is the plan I was referring to. In the gray area you can see a path going across Assembly street. I am wondering if that's a crossing bridge leading to a new garage on Main.

That area has been bad since I moved here in '95. And it only gets worse. The Methodist church across the street had to move the AC units because dirt-bags had been stealing copper.

Not sure if there is anyway to rehab the area. Who wants to invest money down when people try to avoid the area. What would attract people to there?

Yeah.. the crime in Sumter and Columbia seems to be out of control in terms of shootings fatal and not fatal shootings not to mention other crime..
