But, to be clear, the section currently under construction will go from the Greene St. bridge to Nash St. (i.e., stopping before Memorial). Does anybody know what the easement/funding status is for the Nash-to-Fifth section?

Thats an excellent spot for it. The road next to the Hospital is now the road to downtown from the bypass...so it will be getting more and more traffic.

So what is going on in Greenville? I still see a lot of construction going on. All of the big commercial buildings are still going up around MLK Blvd. Buildings are still going up in downtown Greenville. Tons of houses are being built. Is there really nothing to talk about in Greenville?

Imperial site developer seeks agreement changes
A firm working to develop Greenville’s Imperial Tobacco site wants to push construction of a hotel back by about a year and it wants out of a requirement to utilize a century-old office building, which was damaged by a fire in May.
Principals with Seacoast Communities said they need to delay the planned boutique hotel development because the COVID-19 pandemic had caused heavy disruption to the hospitality industry. However, they said they will now be able to pursue the project simultaneously...
