Chicago had a really rough March--worse than any year excluding the tumultuous 2021. April has started out with 4 new murders already, bringing the year to date total to 124.
Memphis & NoLA have picked up where Baltimore & St. Louis have pretty much peaked and remained flat.
Baltimore is currently ~15% reduction from the same time last year, but it always increases heading into summer (which will be the litmus test)
At this rate Baltimore trending at 270 but its a long way to go but hopefully will be under 300 for the first time in what 10 years? Memphis who had like 160-180 pre pandemic is def struggling and may surpass Baltimore rate and numbers this year

8-9 years.
In 2014 Baltimore had 211 and the following year (post Freddy Gray) it jumped 60%
