I'm not sure how Akron had been faring so far, but looks like police are investigating a pretty grisly sounding triple homicide (two bodies found gagged and dumped in a rural area just inside the city and another found gagged and dumped in a rural area about a mile away in Copley Township).

So 4 outside the beltway (550k) 17 Inside the beltway (350k)
REALLY great work!

And to think that 2 out of 4 outside the beltway (the 2 in Clinton MD) is a domestic incident. The one in UM is a little bit...ehh...just one of those shootings though consider that it happened in a neighborhood with 500k townhomes that are fairly new.

But yeah, that area of PG next to Anacostia still dominate the numbers.

DC witness is behind they only have 32 listed on the map
Not surprise that 50% of the counted homicides are in Ward 7 / 8 despite only having ~22% of the District's population. Even less surprising is Ward 3 having 0.

The East-West divide continues when it comes to DC.

Right and considering that PG outside the beltway pretty much has a rate comparable to Fairfax or Moco.
