Des Moines is at 6 after 3 teenagers were killed in a horrific shooting at a house on the south side of the city. This is also the 3rd triple murder in the metro area in the last 3 months. I just find it so odd that when Des Moines has these types of spikes every few years, none of the murders seem very interconnected, as in an increase in gang connected issues, it just seems like a bunch of “random” events just converge.

Does Des Moines get an influence from nearby cities such as Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, and Kansas City?

Sort of. Homicides down but car breakins and burglaries are up.

What's going on in Phoenix? Old timers fighting over who dated Jane Mansfield first?

This my friend is the real problem... They are not solving the problems, just pushing it out... If one day the city is hit with a recession and housing price falls, people will move back in and since the root of the violence has not been solved, homicides will get back up sharply.
